Paris Baguette, a renowned worldwide bakery café chain started in 1988 in South Korea, has taken the world by storm with its unique blend of French-inspired pastries and Korean flavours.
This beloved brand has expanded globally, bringing a touch of Parisian elegance and Asian innovation to cities worldwide with over 4,000 locations, including the United States, Canada, China, and Singapore.
Signature Offerings: a Fusion of Flavours
One of the key attractions of Paris Baguette is its extensive menu, which features a delightful mix of traditional French pastries, Korean-inspired treats, and a variety of breads, cakes, and beverages. Here are some must-try items:
- Croissants and Pastries: Paris Baguette’s croissants are a testament to its commitment to quality and authenticity. Flaky, buttery, and perfectly golden, these croissants rival those found in Parisian boulangeries. The bakery also offers a range of other pastries, such as pain au chocolat, almond croissants, and fruit danishes. I love their Chocolate Croissant (pain au chocolat).
- Asian-Inspired Treats: In addition to classic French pastries, Paris Baguette offers unique creations that reflect its Korean heritage. The “Soboro Bread,” a sweet, crumbly bun topped with streusel, is a popular choice, as is the “Red Bean Bun,” a soft bread filled with sweet red bean paste. They also have Milk bread.
- Artisanal Breads: From baguettes and sourdough loaves to brioche and ciabatta, Paris Baguette’s bread selection is impressive. Each loaf is crafted with care, using traditional techniques and high-quality ingredients. They also have delicious sandwiches that can be heated up right at the store.
- Cakes and Desserts: Paris Baguette’s cakes are a visual and culinary delight. The “Strawberry Soft Cream Cake,” with its light sponge, fresh strawberries, and whipped cream, is a favourite for celebrations. Other notable mentions include the “Royal Pudding,” a silky, smooth dessert available in various flavours. The cakes are not too sweet, so be aware of that.
- Beverages: Complementing its bakery offerings, Paris Baguette serves a range of beverages, including coffee, lattes, tea, and refreshing fruit drinks.
The Paris Baguette Experience
The unique aspect of the Paris Baguette experience is that you get your own set of tongs and a tray for your pastries. As you walk around the store, you choose the pastries you want, which are all displayed right in front of you. This is a fun self-serve experience, and my kids loved it. You bring the tray to the cashier and pay for your food. You can also order drinks at the checkout area.
The ambiance is warm, welcoming and peaceful. It’s a perfect place to work on your project or meet with your friends. This place is kid-friendly. There is also a Paris Baguette app that you can download and collect points. You will often get a free pastry once you get a certain amount of points and when you download this app for the first time.
