As someone who’s always on the lookout for the next great spot in Calgary, I recently had the pleasure of visiting Maisie Eatery this summer—a new Chef-driven café that’s quickly making a name for itself in Calgary. Located right next to Stampede in the Sam Centre, Maisie Eatery is a delightful find for anyone who appreciates good food and a comforting ambiance. This is the perfect place to meet with your friends, have a date, catch up with your family (kid-friendly!), or have a work meeting.

How to Find Maisie Eatery
The SAM Centre is a museum dedicated to Stampede, and no ticket is required to visit Maisie. Opened in June, Maisie Eatery quickly became a favourite among food lovers. The café is open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and offers much more than your average coffee shop.
First Impressions: Inviting and Spacious
From the moment I walked through the door, I was struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere of Maisie Eatery. The place is airy and spacious with high ceilings of the SAM Centre. The interior is a combination of classic and modern elements. It is a cafeteria-style restaurant, but it feels much more glamorous!
Small Details that Matter
Maisie Eatery pays attention to small details. They have excellent high-quality thick napkins, gorgeous packaging, and stunning glassware. They also add an adorable tiny croissant to your coffee/latte. Everything is made fresh in-house and their menu changes DAILY. This is a lot of work!
The latte and London fog were delicious. We also loved the croissants and the Italian donuts. They also offer alcoholic drinks, cocktails, wine and other refreshments. I took a photo of their Drinks Menu (see the photos at the end of this article).
What Can You Eat at Maisie Eatery?
Maisie Eatery’s menu is a delightful mix of classic favourites and creative new dishes, making it difficult to choose just one thing. At Maisie Eatery, you’ll find a wide selection of delightful breakfast and lunch dishes, as well as alcoholic beverages. The menu includes salads, soups, fresh bread, breakfast items, sweet and savoury pies, sandwiches, and pizza, along with tea, coffee, and refreshing drinks. The café caters to various dietary preferences, offering gluten-free, keto, vegan, and lactose-free options.
I am in love with their braised beef sandwich on ciabatta. It is so delicious with the juicy beef and soft ciabatta.

Their dessert spread is legendary! And all of them are made in house THAT SAME DAY! If you are looking to try delicious cheesecakes, cakes, croissants, Italian donuts, danishes, muffins, cupcakes, brownies, and cookies, this is a place for you.

Parking
Sam Centre complimentary parking is located on 12th Ave and 5A St, directly west of Sam Centre. There is also street parking around the building but they are also working on creating a parking lot specifically for Maisie Eatery’s customers
