It’s a great stretch to see superstars like Sidney Crosby or Alex Ovechkin visit Calgary. Prices for these marquee matchups range from $16 to $36+.

  • January 31, 2026 – Calgary Flames vs. San Jose Sharks – at {Scotiabank Saddledome} Close out the month with a Saturday afternoon tilt against the Sharks. This 2:00 PM start is another fan-favorite for those wanting to hit the Red Mile afterward. Tickets for this game start at approximately $32.


Surrounding Town Events (Cochrane, Canmore, & Okotoks)

  • January 2 & 10, 2026 – Cochrane Generals Junior B Hockey – at {SLS Centre, Cochrane} Support local sports as the Generals face off against the Sylvan Lake Wranglers (Jan 2) and the Medicine Hat Cubs (Jan 10). It’s high-energy community hockey in a modern facility. Admission is affordable, usually $10 for adults and $5 for students.

  • January 4, 2026 – Festive High Tea at The Malcolm – at {The Malcolm Hotel, Canmore} The final day of the holiday high tea service features delicate finger foods and locally sourced teas in a luxury mountain setting.
